Annmarie LaRosa is the Executive Director and owner of South Shore Children’s Center, Inc. Mrs. LaRosa is a NYS certified teacher. She earned her Master’s Degree from Stonybrook University. She taught in the New York State Public School system for 15 years, earning her tenure in the Nursery to 6th grade area.
Mrs. LaRosa continued to focus her practice on Early Childhood Education, which led her to a career as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. In 2002 she established South Shore Children’s Center, Inc., a private preschool focused on developmentally appropriate practice for young children. During this time, Mrs. LaRosa began serving a s a trustee on her local school board, serving as Vice President and chair of the Education Committee as well as the Special Education Committee.
In 2017, Mrs. LaRosa became a member of the SUNY Suffolk Department of Education, where she is an Assistant Professor. She is teaching courses in Early Childhood Education to aspiring teachers in the Early Childhood program.
